Nice to see you using Vimeo again. It's easier, more immediate to see your posted work.
The hand gesture could occur earlier, in the gap between the laughter and the punchline. So as to pre-empt the viewer to the gag. And it would offset the gesture action from the facial expression/ lipsynch on the punchline, making the animation easier to read with viewer's eyes not having to split between two areas of the screen.
